Redemption from Nail biting habit

Finally, it seems I almost lost my 32 year old habit of biting nails, successfully.
It took nearly 30 days to convince myself that I did  it finally. Eureka !

The treatment involved a non-materialistic and psychological approach.
It involves four basic steps of two phases and Strong determination.

Stage-I
1. Identify the triggering event that leads you to take your nails up to mouth.
In my case, It is some X which I don't want to disclose to you for your own benefit as it may effect     your mind.
 2. Install this app to your screen for easy access and to count the number of instances you had the urge to bite. Every day, when your first bite create a new counter with the date as the name.

 3. GIVE PRIORITY ALWAYS TO PRESSING THE COUNT BUTTON IN THE APP THAN
      TO  BITE YOUR FLESH.
Stage-II
4. This phase occurs when you have nearly stopped biting nails and the sharp nails
have started bothering you when you scrub your skin during bathing.
Also, sometimes you may tend to get rid of your small torn up edges of your nails.
Try to refrain as much as you can but surely count the urge to perfect you nail shape.

You may use google spreadsheet to plot your data day-wise.

P.S: Nail biting is a trait of perfectionism. So don't be obsessive to perfect your nails using teeth or other finger nails, this is the heart of the treatment.

After first 30 days it is advised to use nail cutter to make up your nails, else you will end up removing your nails again using your nails which may cause bleeding.

X in my case is "groping with the fingers to check if there are any nail-leads protruding out"
