Why implicit Numerical schemes are amazingly robust than explicit Schemes

Implicit schemes believe they know the actual value but required to convince it through some Taylor expansion kind of things for solution.Where as Explicit schemes believe in guessing the solution using their own projection rule from the current feet.
P.S: implicit is like nakula in Pandavaulu ,explicit resembles common man's mind.
