PhD చేస్తున్న రోజుల్లో ఒకసారి image registration problem ప్రయత్నించాలనిపించింది.

నా మంచం తలగడ వెనుక గోడపై ఒక కాగితంపై క్లుప్తంగా సమస్యను రాసి అతికించా.
దాన్ని చూస్తూ మూడు సంవత్సరాలు గడిపేసా.
ఈ మధ్యలో ఒకసారి ఏదో departmental gathering సందర్భంగా ప్రొఫెసర్ సంతానం ను కూడా అడిగేశా సిగ్గులేకుండా. ఆయన కూడా తన వద్ద దానికి సమాధానం లేదన్నారు.
చివరికి ఒకరోజు నా తల వెనుకన ఉన్న గోడపై సమస్యను చూస్తుండగా scale ను logarithm ద్వారా shift గా మార్చాలని చటుక్కున తోచింది.
దానికిగాను function లను ముందుగా log scale లోకి మార్చాలి తర్వాత Fourier shift Theorem ఉపయోగించటమే!

ఇన్ని సంవత్సరాలు అంతర్జాలంలో ఎంత వెతికినా అంతుపట్టనిది log transform for image registration అని వెతకగానే దర్సనమిచ్చింది.

పై రెండు పరిస్థితులను రెండు రకాల దేశాల గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో నేను పరిశీలించాను.
ఎలా వాడాలో నేర్చుకుంటున్నా! మనలో నైపుణ్యాన్ని వెలికి తీయగల అసాధారణ మహిమ ఆకలికి ఉంది.
ఈ ఆలోచన రావటానికి కారణం మస్థిష్కలోని కణాలపై వెలువడిన ఒక పరిశోధనా వ్యాసంగం.

very commonly butterfly effects does not result in common solutions at the end. but I liked his idea of showing intersecting climatic situations to show other aspects of dynamical systems like butterfly effect.
